SCS work with a diverse range of materials and occasionally work with fabrics for specialist orders. This post will guide you through our 3 staple fabrics and some of the reasons why they are significant to what we do!
One of the most popular synthetic materials around with a wide range of applications. The fabric is lightweight and suitable for outdoor use. These two qualities make the fabric ideal for equipment covers, tent fly sheets and security (night sheets). Our fabrics are usually supplies with a polyurethane coating which provides waterproofing and makes fabric UV retardant.
The work horse of the fabric world, polyester is an excellent multi-use fabric used in many industrial and commercial applications. The fabric is available in various deniers (which relates to the tightness of the weave).
SCS stock a range of deniers and colours to ensure we can offer the ideal solution for your product. Solutions provided in polyester include: Bags, Luggage, Canopies, Leisure products & Waterproof covers.
PVC is a real go-to fabric for industrial applications. PVC can come in many weights generally from 500 – 1000gsm for very heavy duty items. The fabric are usually fire retardant and highly resistant to weathering including, water, temperature or chemicals
Applications for PVC include Industrial covers, Tarpaulins, Waterproof bags, Marquees, and many other specialist uses. PVC’s can be printed either directly to the fabric or applied to a panel or section of a product.
