Mr Mick Arnold approached us with this challenging vehicle cover job due to the expertise of the specialised canvas department. Mick’s problem was fairly common – needing to keep his cargo dry whilst in transit. However the vehicle and the load were something a little more special!
The truck is a huge, impressive 1956 Chevrolet Stepside Pickup, which was requiring a full vehicle cover. This had been imported in March this year from an owner in Colorado, USA. The aim of the truck is to promote The Pack Horse Inn based at High Peak. But also to collect supplies of freshly barrelled beers from the ever growing collection of micro-breweries in the area.
The location although beautiful and picturesque can provide some challenging wintery conditions. Hence Mick required a heavy duty and sturdy vehicle cover for the truck to ensure his precious boozy cargo arrived to the traditional pub safely.
The cover includes plastic windows front and back, required primarily for driver safety and visibility. It also needed the capacity to “roll-up” at the back for easy loading and unloading. To ensure the best possible finish Mick had kindly allowed us to drill into elements of the body work. This has created a stunning cover to be mounted onto this very unique and special vehicle.
We are pleased to report that the pub is having a very busy Christmas with plenty of parties and we hope the cover is been put to good use in ensuring the continual supply of locally sourced beers. Keep up the good work Mick and the Pack Horse Inn team!
